Evening Classes
Our evening classes offer relaxed, friendly group tuition for pipers of all levels. Held at the National Piping Centre, these small classes are a great way to build skills, boost confidence and share the joy of piping with others.
Whether you’re picking up the pipes for the first time or looking to refine your technique, our welcoming environment and experienced tutors will support your journey. Come along and be part of a learning community where everyone belongs.

Our Autumn term of Evening Classes starts on the 15th September 2025.
Registration will close on the 8th September.
Class Prices
Evening Class terms are £110 for a 10 week term.

Are evening classes suitable for complete beginners?
Yes! Our beginner evening class is suitable for complete beginners. All you need is a practice chanter.
What instruments can I learn at an evening class?
We currently run Highland Pipe and Bellows/Small pipe classes. We are looking to introduce Snare Drum evening classes in 2026.
Who teaches the evening classes?
Our evening class roster draws from the NPC’s pool of world class teachers depending on the needs of the individual classes.
How many classes are there?
There are 3 terms of 10 weeks each calendar year. Signing up for an evening class provides access to 1 full term of 10 weeks. The total number of classes varies depending on the number of sign-ups as we try to limit class sizes to 6.
